Continuous technical follow-up of the facility
A single measurement shows what happened during one period. Continuous follow-up is used when the question concerns development over time. We compare selected measurements with a documented reference, assess technically relevant changes and report what should happen next.
When the question concerns change rather than one value
A completed measure must be followed
Performance needs to be compared with an agreed reference after implementation.
Capacity is changing over time
New loads or operating patterns may gradually reduce the available margin.
A recurring disturbance is difficult to capture
Measurements must remain in place long enough to record the relevant event and context.
Technical deterioration must be detected
Comparable data is needed to distinguish normal variation from a meaningful trend.
A defined set of technical questions
Continuous follow-up is configured for a stated purpose; it is not an open-ended collection of all available data.
Energy and peak demand
Consumption, load profile and relevant operating conditions are compared by period.
Power quality
Selected parameters and events are assessed against the facility's technical question.
Motors and drive systems
Electrical and operating indicators are followed where they can reveal a change in duty.
Implemented measures
Results are compared with the documented baseline and agreed acceptance criteria.
Capacity margin
Load growth and simultaneous demand are tracked where available capacity is critical.
Recurring events
Events are time-correlated with load, process and other relevant operating information.
A reference, an interval and a decision
The assignment defines which measurement points and operating conditions are relevant, how periods are compared and which decisions the reporting should support. Data quality, missing periods and changed conditions are made visible.
Additional measurement points or new instrumentation are a separate assignment unless expressly included.
What each reporting period contains
Depending on the agreed scope:
- Reference condition and periods compared
- Assessment of data quality and gaps
- Trends and changes since the previous period
- Technically significant deviations in priority order
- What cannot be established from current evidence
- Recommended next step for each point
No technically significant change against the reference.
A development that requires interpretation or action.
Follow-up is not a real-time alarm service
The service provides periodic technical assessment. It does not replace the facility's control, protection or alarm systems, and CLEPS does not assume operational monitoring responsibility unless another service has been expressly agreed.
CLEPS works in Sweden. Scope, data access, reporting interval and delivery conditions are confirmed for each assignment.
What do you need to follow over time?
Describe the system, the important measurements and the decisions the follow-up should support. We will help define the reference, interval and reporting.
