26 years of experience in power systems
CLEPS Electrical Power Solution AB was founded in 2000 and has since then worked with power systems, wind power grid connection, HVDC and power quality. Assignments have covered grid operators, producers, industry and public authorities.
In 2026, the company was acquired by Mizar Industries AB and now continues under the name CLEPS AB. Christer Liljegren remains part of the business. The technical focus is unchanged, and is complemented by broader competence in industry, electric motors, measurement technology, installation and implementation.
CLEPS combines the experience of 26 years of specialist work with a broader ability to follow a question from technical evidence to a completed measure.
The experience remains. The capability has broadened.
Since it started, CLEPS has worked on how power systems behave, how generation is connected, which requirements apply and what a measurement can actually establish. The technical focus is unchanged.
Christer Liljegren built and ran the business for 26 years. He remains part of CLEPS and contributes the experience and specialist knowledge from that entire period.
CLEPS today combines that experience with the competence of the team in Swedish industry, mechanical power transmission, electric motors, measurement technology, instruments, installation and industrial work.
That allows us to take responsibility for more parts of the work, from the technical question and the evidence behind it through to implementation and follow-up.
From the Gotland power system to CLEPS today
The business grew out of long experience of power generation, grid planning and industrial electrical systems. The milestones below show how the competence developed from system responsibility and HVDC to the broader capability in analysis, implementation and follow-up that CLEPS has today.
-
The backgroundPower engineering in generation and industry
Christer Liljegren worked with nuclear power at ASEA, with control equipment at Vattenfall, mainly for hydropower, and with industrial electrical design at Cementa.
-
1985Gotland Energiverk
He joined Gotland Energiverk AB and came to work with a power system where generation, grid and limited transfer capacity are closely connected.
-
1995Responsible engineer for the Gotland power system
He became the engineer responsible for the Gotland power system.
-
Project managementGotland HVDC Light
He was project manager of the Gotland HVDC Light project.
-
2000CLEPS is founded
Christer Liljegren founded CLEPS Electrical Power Solution AB, focusing on technical and legal aspects of distributed generation and the grid connection of wind power.
-
2026CLEPS enters its next phase
The company is acquired by Mizar Industries AB and now continues under the name CLEPS AB. Louis Svane takes office as managing director. Christer Liljegren remains part of the organisation and contributes the experience and specialist knowledge from 26 years of work at CLEPS.
At the same time the capacity of the business broadens within industry, electric motors, measurement technology, installation and implementation. CLEPS continues as a team able to follow a question from technical evidence through to a completed measure and its follow-up.
From technical evidence to a completed measure
A measurement becomes valuable only when its result can be turned into a decision or a measure. CLEPS therefore combines specialist knowledge in power engineering and power quality with experience of Swedish industry, electric motors, measurement technology, installation and work in industrial environments.
We can take responsibility for more parts of the chain: from framing the question and gathering the right evidence through to analysing the result, carrying out the measure and following up its effect.
When an assignment calls for more technical resources, the team is reinforced. The assignment is led and carried out by CLEPS.
-
Measurement
The right measuring point, period and resolution. What has to be captured follows from the question, not from the instrument.
-
Analysis
What the measurement shows, under which operating conditions, and what cannot be concluded from it.
-
Implementation
The measure is carried out. When an assignment calls for more technical resources the team is reinforced, but the assignment is led and carried out by CLEPS, which also remains the contracting party and point of contact.
-
Follow-up
Measurement under comparable conditions afterwards. A completed job is not automatically a verified result.
Which question are you facing?
Experience exists to be used. Describe what is happening in the installation or which decision has to be made, and we will assess what evidence is required.
Historical assignments and references
Eight assignments in HVDC, wind power grid connection, grid planning, requirement definition and training.
